I just happened to stumble upon this book - it had a pretty outdated picture on the cover but this book qualifies for "you can't judge a book by its cover." It was an easy read, but I couldn't really decide where or when it took place, but the idea of a girl helping a deaf man, and being accused of being a witch was well written. I would give it 2 and 1/2 stars (out of 5)

I read this book on reccomendation from Mrs. Frederick. It was an OK book about the challenges faced by the main character Marnie & her "friend" Raven. Not the most exciting book - but I did find it interesting. L Hagenbuch
